The children's program is a series of short (generally five week) sessions aimed at introducing your child to Okinawan Uechi Ryu Karate. Emphasis is placed on development of basic skills rather than achieving promotion in rank.

Our objectives for this program are to:

Introduce fundamental movements (blocks, strikes, kicks) that are central to Uechi Karate.

Develop your child's interest in the spirit of karate.

Develop your child's self confidence.

Lay the ground work for basic self defense.

Prepare your child to further his/her martial arts instruction and training.

THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF THE CHILDREN'S PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE YOUR CHILD WITH BASIC SKILLS AND FAMILIARITY WHICH WILL ALLOW HIM/HER TO MOVE INTO THE REGULAR (ALL AGE) CLASS WITH CONFIDENCE
